Early Years Entitlement

Early Years Entitlement: For children aged 9 months up to school age

We offer all aspects of the Early Years Entitlement for babies and children from 9 months up to school age. This takes effect from the term after a child turns 9 months old. These Early Years Entitlement hours are completely free of charge. There are no top-up fees for these sessions and parents are not required to pay for any additional services to access their entitlement. Families can also choose to add extra hours or days, which are chargeable. We work in line with the government guidance for this offer and this is how we offer all variations of the Early Years Entitlement hours:

Children Attending All Year Round (51 weeks – stretched):

15 Universal Hours: For all 3 & 4 year olds, from term after 3rd birthday, equates to 11.17 hours per week
= 1 full day (8am – 6pm) only able to claim for 10 hours a week instead of 11.17 hours (will only be available on a Monday or Friday for those attending just one day a week).
30 Hours (for working families) equates to 22.34 hours stretched (51 weeks) = 3 x 7½ hour days (offered only between the hours of 9am – 4.30pm)

Children Attending Term-Time Only (38 weeks), limited number of places, at Management discretion (currently only for 2, 3 & 4 year old children):

30 Hours (for working families) = 4 x 7½ hour days (9am – 4.30pm)
